Emilia Romagna - Parade of Homes

The Emilia Romagna home in the St. George Parade of Homes is what happens when Italian charm meets thoughtful, family-friendly design. Built by RL Wyman and brought to life by Mollie Openshaw (Design Loves Detail) and Denette Charlton, every space feels layered, warm, and intentionally collected. We’re thrilled that five Ayara wallpapers were woven throughout the home, adding texture, pattern, and those little “wait, I love this” moments around every corner.

Let's take a look at each wallpaper below... (Parade of Homes pictures are coming soon!)

Nine Stripe Plaid Wallpaper in Neutral

White office desk with two chairs against Ayara's Nine Stripe Plaid wallpaper in Neutral colors.
Tucked into the upstairs library—complete with a play zone and homework nook near the kids’ bedrooms—this plaid adds just the right amount of structure. The soft neutral palette keeps it classic, while the grid pattern gives the space an elevated, tailored feel. It’s cozy enough for story time, polished enough for grown-up conversations. Large Antique Floral Rows in Neutral

Neatly made bed with white bedding and beige pillows in a bedroom setting. Wallpaper is Large Antique Floral Rows in neutral colors.
In the girl’s bedroom just off the library, oversized stamped florals create a dreamy, collected look. The design feels like it was lovingly block printed by hand, with soft neutral tones that make the pattern feel timeless rather than trendy. It’s sweet without being sugary and brings a gentle sense of romance to the space. View this wallpaper →

Large Geometric Dots in Gray Blue

Nestled corner of a bedroom with a bed, pillows, and a large window featuring our Large Geometric Dots Wallpaper in Gray Blue.
Layered alongside the florals in the same bedroom, this pattern adds a playful contrast. Organic off-white square shapes sit on a textured gray blue background, giving the room depth and movement. It complements the antique florals beautifully, creating a space that feels both thoughtful and full of personality. View this wallpaper →

Freehand Dashes in Pashmina

Table lamp with a gold base and white shade on a wooden surface against a wallpapered Freehand Dashes in Pashmina design.
Upstairs in the laundry room, simple hand-drawn dashes in off white float across a textured pashmina backdrop. The tiny vertical strokes feel relaxed and artistic, turning an everyday utility space into something intentionally designed. Even laundry deserves good wallpaper. View this wallpaper →

Half Circle Blocks in Pashmina on Cream

Modern kitchen with wooden shelves, wine bottles, and a plant. Featured wallpaper is Half Circle Blocks, a geometric wallpaper by Ayara.
This design makes two memorable appearances in the home. First, inside the large arched feature wall of the main laundry room, where it highlights the architecture in the most charming way. It also lines the back of a built-in arched bookcase at the top of the stairs, leading into the library. Hand-drawn dash marks in pashmina form circles and half-circle geometric shapes against a creamy background, adding subtle movement and warmth. This wallpaper brings designer-approved style to any space. View this wallpaper →

From cozy reading corners to hardworking laundry rooms, each wallpaper was thoughtfully chosen to enhance the architecture and tell a story. The Emilia Romagna home proves that pattern, when done well, doesn’t overwhelm—it invites you in and makes you want to stay awhile.
